Do I need council approval to demolish a garage, shed or carport?
It depends on the structure and your property. In NSW, demolishing some small structures can fall under exempt or complying development, while others, particularly on heritage-listed properties or in conservation areas, need a CDC or DA. The rules vary between councils and change with the specifics, so we recommend confirming your project with a private certifier or your council before work starts. How much does small demolition cost?
Small demolition is quoted per project because the price turns on structure size and construction, access for machinery, whether slabs and footings are included, and waste volume. How long does it take to demolish a garage or shed?

What if there is asbestos in my old shed or garage?
