Your Kitchen Renovation Starts Here
A kitchen strip out clears everything the new kitchen replaces: wall and base cabinets, benchtops, the splashback, sink and tapware, built-in appliances and the old floor and wall tiles. Timing depends on the kitchen size, access, services and what materials need to come out.
A kitchen strip out has to account for gas, water and electrical connections as well as the finishes you can see. Where the agreed removal affects those services, we coordinate the appropriately licensed trades first. Stone benchtops are broken down into manageable sections, cabinetry is removed carefully and dust controls are set around tiled areas and the access path.

Protection around the renovation
Retained floors, rooms and access paths are identified before removal starts, particularly when other parts of the property remain occupied or finished.
Access matched to the property
Stairs, lifts, parking, carrying distances and bin positions are reviewed before pricing so material can move out without compromising shared areas.

Any plumbing, electrical or specialist work affected by the strip out is identified and coordinated with an appropriately licensed trade when required.

How It Works
How a Kitchen Strip Out Works
- 01
Inspection & Quote
We inspect the kitchen when needed, confirm what goes and what stays, check gas and water locations, and provide a clear written quote.
- 02
Disconnect & Protect
Where gas, water or electrical services are affected, the appropriately licensed trades are coordinated before demolition starts. Dust barriers and floor protection then go up around the work area.
- 03
Strip Out in Sequence
Appliances out first, then benchtops, cabinets, splashback and tiles — a planned order that keeps the room safe and the works organised.
- 04
Clean & Hand Over
Waste is sorted for recycling and removed as part of the handover, and the stripped kitchen is swept broom-clean and ready for your installer.

What shapes a kitchen strip out quote
Removal scope
The rooms, fixtures, finishes and structural boundaries included in the work are confirmed before pricing.
Access and material movement
Parking, stairs, lifts, loading areas, carry distance and available bin or truck access affect the removal method.
Waste type and volume
Material mix, weight, recycling options and the likely number of loads all affect the quote.
Occupied areas and protection
The protection route, separation from lived-in areas and finishes that must remain all affect labour and setup.

FAQs
Kitchen Strip Out FAQs
How long does a kitchen strip out take?
Most standard kitchens are stripped in a single day, with larger or more complex kitchens taking up to two. We confirm the timeline in your quote so your kitchen company can lock in the installation date with confidence.
Do you handle the gas, water and electrical disconnections?
Yes. Where the agreed kitchen strip out affects gas, water or electrical connections, we coordinate appropriately licensed plumbers or electricians to make those services safe before removal starts. The quote confirms which trade work is included.
What happens to the old appliances and cabinets?
We can remove the built-in appliances listed in the quote along with the cabinetry and benchtops. Metals, appliances, timber and board are separated for recycling where accepted, and the balance goes to appropriate waste facilities. Agreed disposal is included in your quote.
How do you protect the rest of the house?
We seal the kitchen off with dust barriers, run floor protection along the carry-out path and use dust-controlled equipment for tile removal. Adjoining living areas stay usable during the work, and we clean the access path as part of the handover.
Can you strip the bathroom or laundry at the same time?
Yes — combining rooms into one visit is usually cheaper than separate bookings because the crew, truck and protection are already on site. A bathroom strip out or bathroom and laundry strip out can be added to your kitchen quote. Call 0424 944 944 and we will price the combination.
